We build secure networking infrastructure for critical sectors, and we run services on it

Kavarn is an eDiscovery service built and operated by Konvergence Inc, a sovereign infrastructure company in Dripping Springs, Texas. Our preferred deployment is dedicated bare metal, owned or rented under managed contracts, with each firm on its own instance separated at the hypervisor.

Having used several of the major legacy platforms, we were skeptical about finding a solution that balanced advanced capabilities with affordability. The predictable monthly cost is substantially lower, with no hidden hosting or user fees. And unlike other vendors where support requests feel like they disappear into a black hole, the team is incredibly responsive: expert, live assistance in minutes.

Who builds and runs Kavarn?

Infrastructure first

Konvergence builds sovereign infrastructure: dedicated instances and private networks, content-addressed storage and tamper-evident audit logs, among more. The Kavarn platform runs on that stack. Our pricing page publishes all fees for the service, and the security page sets out how matter data is isolated. Each firm gets its own instance, separated at the hypervisor, and matter data is not on shared public cloud infrastructure.

Check the status

Our platform page lists what the platform does today. If a capability your matter depends on is not ready, we will say so before you sign rather than during onboarding.

Who Kavarn is for?

The economics work best for firms carrying steady matter volume that are tired of a bill they cannot forecast.

Litigation boutiques and small to mid-size firms

Firms running several active matters at once, where per-user pricing punishes you for staffing a review and per-GB pricing punishes you for winning a big case.

Firms with client security guidelines

Where an outside-counsel guideline or a client questionnaire makes multi-tenant hosting a difficult answer to give. Kavarn multi-layered and isolatedsecurity model is built for firms that require the highest level of security.

Firms bringing discovery in-house

Practices that have decided to stop routing their and their client's data through a service bureau and want their own environment to work in. The guides and the Fee Field Guide lay out the economics of running discovery in-house, including what a firm of three to twenty lawyers needs and what it costs.

Questions about who runs this

Who operates Kavarn?

Konvergence Inc, a sovereign infrastructure company in Dripping Springs, Texas. Konvergence builds the underlying infrastructure, dedicated instances, content-addressed storage and a tamper-evident audit log, and each firm's instance is separated at the hypervisor, with fully dedicated bare metal available on request.

What kind of firms is this built for?

Litigation boutiques and small to mid-size firms running several active matters at once, firms whose client security guidelines make multi-tenant hosting difficult to answer for, and firms bringing discovery in-house. The economics work best where matter volume is steady.

What happens if a capability we need is not ready?

We would identify before you sign up rather than during the matter. The platform page lists what the platform does today. If you have specific needs, customization is available at $290 per hour.
